GOODBYE MY HEART

We sat face to face and I let him know, Exactly how deep my love for him goes,

He was shocked, I believe, he said he didn't know,

He even said he's sorry for my pain that now shows,

I gave him the book, letters, and cards,

Prepared with love and worked on so hard,

We looked at it and laughed together for the very last time,

Then we walked to our cars together, it seemed it was the end of the line,

A few more words said, well wishes and all, One brief final hug and I began to Bawl,

I pull away and whisper bye, We both drive off, I continue to cry,

I know I will never see the man I love again,

And it will be a while before I can even be a friend

It was great to see him and let him know how I feel,

But sad too cause he had no secret love to reveal,

One day I'll be able to call and say "hey, whats up? It's me" without tears in my voice,

But until then I'll be silent and let the calls be his choice,

So take care of yourself as our paths now part,

Goodbye My Friend, My Secret Love, Goodbye My Heart.
